Highspire, Pa. — October 16, 2025 — The Citizen’s Fire Company #1 of Highspire joined Swatara Fire-Rescue and the Steelton Fire Department at Steelton-Highspire Elementary School to mark Fire Prevention Month with a day of safety education and demonstrations.

Firefighters met with students to discuss home escape planning, smoke alarm checks, and safe responses to emergencies. Students also toured fire apparatus and learned about the equipment firefighters use on calls.
