Vernon Central Hose Department Promotes Fire Safety at Local School

Meadville, Pa. — October 11, 2025 —
The Vernon Central Hose Department, located at 16589 McMath Avenue, Meadville, visited West End Elementary School last week to provide students with practical lessons in fire safety and prevention.
Firefighters spoke with students about developing a home escape plan, testing smoke alarms, and knowing how to react in an emergency. Students also had the chance to see the department’s fire trucks up close and learn about the protective equipment firefighters use during operations.
