Tree and Mulch Fire Quickly Contained in West Chester Borough

On October 19, 2025, just before 3:00 PM, the West Chester Fire Department (WCFD) was dispatched to the intersection of South Darlington Street and Wollerton Alley in West Chester Borough following reports of a tree and mulch fire. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an area of burning mulch that had spread to a nearby tree.
The crew acted swiftly to contain and extinguish the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent properties.
