Pedestrian Struck on State Route 31; Airlifted by North Star

West Amwell, NJ - On 02 October at approximately 16:50 hours, WAFCo, Station 48 Fire and Rescue, and EMS3 were dispatched to State Route 31, Box 26-84, for a reported motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, Chief 26 (Ent) assessed the situation, provided an update on the patient to incoming units, and established command. Engine 26 (under Assistant Hoagland) and Rescue 26 (under Captain Fozman) responded and set up a landing zone for the North Star medevac unit to transport the patient. Once the patient was airlifted, all fire and rescue operations were concluded, and the scene was turned over to the New Jersey State Police (NJSP). A total of eight members responded to the incident.
