Millville, NJ- Oct 22: Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. (MVFC) responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at a residence on the evening of October 22. The occupant was standing on the front porch of the house when the crews arrived, and there was obvious smoke damage inside the kitchen. No one was hurt. A pot of chicken dinner that had been left cooking on the stove was found to be the source of the smoke, causing heavy smoke to fill the kitchen and setting off the alarm. MVFC crews promptly eliminated the hazard and supplied ventilation to clear the smoke. The resident was allowed to return home after the crews left the kitchen and went back to the station.
