Union Fire, N.J. — October 7 —The Deptford Mayor and Council recognized Union Fire Company #1 and Tacoma Fire Company cadets for winning the Best Appearing Cadet Post award at the New Jersey State Firemen's Parade in Wildwood on September 13, 2025. The cadets, who were between the ages of 12 and 16, were honored in the proclamation for their commitment and cooperation, which included weeks of preparation before the parade. Throughout the state, their well-coordinated marching performance was unique among departments.
