Cologne, N.J. — October 9 — The Cologne Volunteer Fire Company hosted another successful Fire Prevention Day at St. Vincent de Paul Regional School, continuing its long-standing effort to promote safety education within the community.
Firefighters met with students to discuss fire safety, demonstrate equipment, and explain how quick action and planning can prevent emergencies. Students explored the fire engine, learned about protective gear, and participated in hands-on demonstrations led by the crew.
The event was part of Fire Prevention Week, aimed at teaching early safety awareness and strengthening community partnerships between local schools and first responders.
