West Kittanning, Pa. — October 15 — The West Kittanning Fire Department Station 240 conducted a training drill Wednesday night at a recently donated structure, giving members the chance to practice search operations, a Mayday scenario, hose line advancement, and ventilation techniques.

The live setting allowed firefighters to simulate real conditions, reinforcing communication, coordination, and safety skills. Several residents stopped by during the training, and firefighters took time to explain the drill and answer questions.
