York Springs, Pa. — October 5 — The York Springs Fire Company No. 1 recently received a grain rescue tube through a grant from Horizon Farm Credit and completed specialized grain bin rescue training with the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS).

Members from both York Springs Fire Company and Northern York County Fire Rescue participated in the session, which focused on safe extrication techniques for grain entrapment incidents — emergencies that continue to pose significant risks in rural and agricultural communities.
