Hudson, NH - On the evening of October 16th, Hudson Fire was dispatched to 22 Boyd Road for a reported building fire. The dispatcher reported multiple calls being received over the air. Companies arrived on scene to discover a raised ranch/split with heavy fire showing and a working fire was struck by the duty captain. Hudson Engine 1 was the first arriving company and encountered heavy fire conditions. They stretched and operated multiple hand lines seeing a lot of progress before the rest of the initial alarm arrived. The fire was knocked down quickly and companies remained on scene for several hours for overhaul and investigation.
