At approximately 1033 hours on October 19, 2026, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room dispatched the Pennsauken Fire Department and automatic aid units for the report of a building fire at the
7-11 convenience store located at 6001 Westfield Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ. Initial reports were of fire from the roof. A smoke column could be seen from blocks out and first arriving units reported heavy smoke showing from a one story convenience store. The fire quickly extended into the roof area and due to structural concerns, interior crews were withdrawn and defensive operations were employed. Pennsauken Tower Ladder 11 quickly went to work with aerial operations and Westmont Tower Ladder 15 was dispatched on the working fire signal. Both tower ladders knocked the fire down and the fire was placed under control in about an hour. Extensive overhaul was required and Pennsauken units remained on location for some time after.
