Chatham Area Fire Departments Conduct Joint Training Drill in Acquired Structure

Chatham Borough, NJ - The members of the Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, Green Village, and New Vernon Fire Departments participated in a joint training exercise at an acquired residential structure. Firefighter search teams encountered multiple simulated victims trapped throughout the home, including in the basement, first floor, and second floor.
Despite the low visibility created by simulated smoke conditions, all victims were successfully located and safely evacuated from the building. The departments expressed their gratitude for this valuable training opportunity and reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and skill development as firefighters.
