Vegetation Fire Quickly Contained Near Spring Township Home

On Friday afternoon, October 10, a vegetation fire reported within ten feet of a structure prompted a full structure fire assignment to a residence on Gravel Pit Road in Spring Township. TSFR Engine 85, responding alongside Shillington Engine 36, arrived to find smoke coming from the backyard of the dwelling.
Crews deployed a 1.75-inch hose line from Engine 36 to the rear of the property, where they discovered fire burning in the base of bushes, mulch, and a wooden split-rail fence. The fire was swiftly extinguished, and crews conducted overhaul operations to ensure complete extinguishment.
