Mutual Aid Responded to Two Vehicle Crashes in Borough and on Interstate 99

Tyrone, PA - Department 31 was dispatched as mutual aid to assist Station 36 with a reported vehicle crash involving possible entrapment. Rescue 33 and Engine 34 responded from the borough. Upon arrival, it was determined that there was confinement but no entrapment. Rescue 33 performed a door pop using the spreaders, while Engine 34 assisted EMS with patient care and managed traffic control. Chief 36 (Oswalt) assumed command of the scene.
Department 31, Station 36 (Bald Eagle), and Bellwood 22 were dispatched to a vehicle crash on Interstate 99 near mile marker 49, between Tyrone and Bald Eagle. The caller reported that a van had rolled several times and was unsure about injuries or entrapment. Rescue 33, Engine 34, E/R36, and Engine 22 responded to the scene. Upon arrival, units confirmed the crash but reported no entrapment. Engine 34 established traffic and buffer operations to support the rescue efforts at the scene.
