October 2025 — The Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department (WTFD) would like to extend its gratitude to burn survivors and motivational speakers Alvaro and Shawn for sharing their powerful story, After the Fire, based on the Seton Hall Dorm Fire, with Warren Hills Regional High School seniors earlier today.

Their presentation offered profound insights into overcoming tragedy and emphasized the importance of fire safety awareness—a lesson especially meaningful for students preparing to begin their adult lives or head off to college. The speakers’ experiences and messages of resilience, courage, and prevention left a lasting impression on attendees.

The WTFD also thanked Warren Hills Regional High School for partnering in hosting this valuable program and expressed appreciation to the senior students for their engagement and attentiveness throughout the session.
