October 10, 2025 — This morning, members of the Berlin Fire Company and the Pine Hill Fire Department conducted their annual fire apparatus pump testing to ensure the continued reliability and performance of their equipment.

The testing, performed by Bud’s Auto & Truck Repair, was carried out in full compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1911 standards, which govern the inspection, maintenance, testing, and retirement of in-service emergency vehicles.

Fire truck pump testing is a critical annual procedure that verifies each apparatus can deliver the required water flow and pressure needed during fire suppression operations. Regular testing ensures that equipment remains in top condition and ready for emergency response at a moment’s notice.

Both departments remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of readiness, safety, and professionalism in service to their communities.
