October 16, 2025 — The Branchville Hose Company #1 hosted a joint ladder drill this evening, bringing together members from 24 Fire, 27 Fire, 48 Fire, and Newton Fire Department for a collaborative training session.
During the drill, firefighters reviewed both departments’ ladder trucks, focusing on equipment familiarization, setup procedures, and operational coordination. These exercises are designed to ensure that all participating members are knowledgeable about one another’s apparatus and can work seamlessly during mutual aid responses.
The Branchville Hose Company emphasized the importance of interdepartmental training in strengthening regional emergency response and maintaining operational readiness.
