Berlin Fire Company Promotes Fire Safety Education at Local School

October 15, 2025 — Members of the Berlin Fire Company visited Our Lady of Mount Carmel Regional School to educate students about the importance of fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Firefighters spoke with students about key safety practices, including how to react in the event of a fire, the importance of smoke detectors, and the need to plan and practice home fire escape routes.
The department extended its appreciation to the teachers and staff of Our Lady of Mount Carmel for their warm welcome and continued commitment to community safety education.
“Teaching fire safety at a young age helps save lives,” a department representative said. “We’re proud to help shape the next generation’s understanding of fire prevention.”
