October 2025 — It felt like Christmas in October at the Oceanport Fire Department as members received a major delivery of new fire equipment. Thanks to the New Jersey Fire Equipment Company, the department was outfitted with a full complement of Mercedes Textiles fire hose to equip their new engine.

This upgrade replaces aged hose accumulated from multiple years of service, significantly reducing the risk of equipment failure during operations. The new, uniform hose supply will allow firefighters to work more efficiently and safely when responding to emergencies.

The department also extended a heartfelt thank you to the Oceanport Council for helping make this essential investment possible. Their continued support ensures that Oceanport’s firefighters have the tools they need to protect the community effectively.
