Morganville Fire Department Quickly Knocks Down High Street Blaze

September 26, 2025 — At approximately 2:46 p.m., the Morganville Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on High Street after reports of white smoke coming from the front of the home.
Captain 28-3-68 arrived on scene and confirmed smoke showing from the exterior. Moments later, he identified a working fire on the second floor of a private dwelling and requested the box alarm to be transmitted.
Ladder 28-3-91 was in service within 45 seconds and arrived on scene in under four minutes from dispatch. Crews quickly advanced a hand line and knocked down the fire, which was contained to the area of origin with minimal extension. The blaze was declared under control shortly after arrival, thanks to a fast and coordinated response.
