September 26, 2025 — At approximately 2:46 p.m., the Morganville Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on High Street after reports of white smoke coming from the front of the home.

Captain 28-3-68 arrived on scene and confirmed smoke showing from the exterior. Moments later, he identified a working fire on the second floor of a private dwelling and requested the box alarm to be transmitted.

Ladder 28-3-91 was in service within 45 seconds and arrived on scene in under four minutes from dispatch. Crews quickly advanced a hand line and knocked down the fire, which was contained to the area of origin with minimal extension. The blaze was declared under control shortly after arrival, thanks to a fast and coordinated response.

The department expressed appreciation to its mutual aid partners for their assistance:

Robertsville Volunteer Fire Co. #1 • Gordons Corner Fire Co. • Keyport Fire Department • Matawan Fire Department • East Freehold Fire Company • Union Beach Fire Department • Holmdel Fire & Rescue Company #2 • Union Hose Fire Co. No. 1

The Morganville Fire Department also responded to nine additional calls for service between September 22nd and September 26th.

Those interested in joining the department are encouraged to stop by Tuesday nights after 7:30 p.m. or visit anytime the bay doors are open to pick up an application and learn more about becoming a volunteer.
