September 30, 2025 — Today marks a solemn anniversary for the Keyport Fire Department, as members past and present pause to remember Chief Timothy Pfleger, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on September 30, 2022.

Chief Pfleger was remembered as a dedicated leader and a friend to all who knew him. His ever-present smile, strong leadership, and devotion to both his department and the greater Bayshore fire service community left a lasting impact that continues to guide the department today.

“Tim was an integral part of where our department stands today,” members reflected. “His influence extended beyond Keyport—he helped strengthen the entire Bayshore fire service.”

Though three years have passed since his passing, Pfleger’s memory remains very much alive in the firehouse. Members continue to share stories about him daily, honoring his legacy through their service and camaraderie.

“Tim, you are extremely missed. Continue to watch over us—we’ll keep your legacy alive,” the department shared in remembrance.

The post closed with Chief Pfleger’s signature rallying cry: “Let’s Go Get It!”, a motto that continues to inspire the Keyport Fire Department in every call they answer.
