October 15, 2025 — Throughout this week, members of the Eatontown Fire Department have been visiting schools across the borough as part of Fire Prevention Week.

Firefighters are meeting with students from preschool through upper grades, teaching them vital lessons about fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety awareness. The educational sessions cover key topics such as what to do if there’s a fire, how to safely exit a building, and when to call 911.

The department emphasized the importance of starting fire safety education at an early age, helping children understand how their actions can make a difference in an emergency

These visits are part of the department’s ongoing commitment to community outreach and safety education, reinforcing their message: fire safety starts with awareness and preparation.
