Brighton Twp., Pa — October 10 —Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department members visited the Life Steps Pre-K program at Dutch Ridge Elementary to teach fire prevention and safety. Children learned about smoke detectors, family meeting places, and what to do in an emergency.

Students also explored Engine 2 and Rescue 63, tried on firefighting gear, and got a close look at the department’s equipment. The visit offered a fun and hands-on way to learn important safety lessons.
