Car Slams Into Building In Lindenhurst

In the early hours of October 15th, 2022 the North Amityville Fire Company was alerted for reports of a motor vehicle accident on Eastbound Sunrise Highway at 35th Street. Upon the arrival of responding units, the incident location was updated to Sunrise Highway and Straight Path. The officer on HR 1-7-5 advised Babylon Central Fire Alarm that they were operating in Lindenhurst Fire Department jurisdiction and had an SUV into a building he then proceeded to request one engine (1-6-3) and TRUCK 1-6-4 for speedy dry and to possibly have to cut open roll ups on the building that was struck. A fire marshal was requested to the scene (1-0-42). North Amityville ambulances transported two patients to local area hospitals. The cause of the accident is under investigation. North Amityville units operated under the command of Ex-Chief Craig Riordan. Lindenhurst units operated under the command of Chief of The Department Michael DeGregorio.
