Saxton, P.A- Oct 12: Saxton Volunteer Fire Company, along with Companies 36 and 17, responded to a reported dwelling fire in Dudley that was reported at the 35-03 box early Sunday morning. There were no obvious indications of fire or smoke coming from sides A, B, or C when Chief 35 arrived and took command. He reported that the weather was normal. No active fire or hazard was discovered during additional assessment as crews moved into the investigation phase. The alarm box was downgraded at that point, and only Saxton, 36, and 17 were assigned to stay on scene. All other responding units were then released and put back into service. The remaining businesses on the scene were also released shortly after, and the incident was declared cleared after no hazardous conditions were discovered.
