Hope, N.J. — September 30, 2025 — While remaining prepared for calls, Hope Volunteer Fire Department-Station 38 Fire members spent the weekend serving locals at the yearly township picnic. Firefighters were called to a car accident on Route 80 during the event. When air medical units arrived at the picnic, crews also set up two areas for helicopter landings. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service's close coordination with regional partners was highlighted the following Monday when the pilot returned with Atlantic Air 1 to assist with a local medical emergency.
