October 8, 2025 — The Collings Lakes Fire Department provided critical assistance to the Hammonton Fire Department on Wednesday evening as crews battled a large pallet fire on Weymouth Road.

Squad 12-31 and Rescue 12-38 were assigned to cover Hammonton Fire Department Station 1 while local units operated on scene, ensuring that additional emergencies within the area could still be handled without delay.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., Ladder 12-36 was requested into the scene to assist with firefighting operations. The crew joined suppression efforts to help contain and extinguish the deep-seated fire, which required extensive overhaul work due to the density of the burning material.

Collings Lakes firefighters remained committed throughout the night, providing vital support to Hammonton and demonstrating the strength of regional mutual aid cooperation.
