The Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company #1 released its monthly activity summary, detailing the department’s response to 51 dispatched calls for service throughout September.

The breakdown of incidents is as follows:

  • EMS Assists: 5
  • Natural Vegetation Fire: 1
  • Extrication/Rescue: 3
  • Combustible Spills or Leaks: 3
  • Electrical Wiring/Equipment Issues: 2
  • Unauthorized Burning: 2
  • Dispatched/Cancelled Enroute: 9
  • Steam/Gas/Smoke Investigations: 3
  • Unintentional Alarm Activations: 17
  • System Malfunctions: 2
  • Wrong Location/No Emergency: 1
  • Public Service Assist: 1
