Vehicle Fire Quickly Extinguished on Orchard Drive

Pen Hills, PA - On Saturday afternoon on 04 October, shortly after 2 p.m., Stations 227 and 223 were dispatched to the 100 block of Orchard Drive for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, units 227 Truck and 227 Engine found an active engine compartment fire. The vehicle’s operator had safely exited before the fire intensified.
Crews promptly deployed an attack line and were able to bring the fire under control within minutes. The incident was contained to the units on scene.
