Members of the Sandyston Township Volunteer Fire Department (Station 38) proudly participated in the 105th Sussex County Fireman’s Association Inspection Day and Parade, hosted by the Montague Fire Department in celebration of their 75th anniversary.

After weeks of preparation and equipment detailing, Station 38 members showcased their hard work during the parade, earning several top honors. The department took home:

  • 1st Place – Engine (11–20 Years)
  • 2nd Place – Command Vehicle
  • 2nd Place – Best Appearing Company (Small Department)

In addition, thanks to the collaboration with Sussex County Sheriff Mike Strada and the Sheriff’s Office Color Guard, the team also celebrated the Color Guard’s recognition as Best Appearing Military or Police Color Guard.

“It was a great day for a parade,” the department shared. “Our members and their families have been working hard preparing, and it paid off once again. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success.”

Station 38 also extended congratulations to Station 35 (Montague Fire Department) for hosting a fantastic event and for their milestone anniversary.
