Brownville, N.Y. — October 9 — On Thursday, the Town of Brownville Fire District was dispatched to a property-damage crash in the Village of Dexter after a vehicle towing a trailer struck and sheared a power utility pole at Lakeview Drive and Brown Street.

Assistant Chief N. Young arrived and established command. While crews were responding, additional vehicles hit the downed pole, and one occupant was evaluated on scene by Guilfoyle Ambulance.

Brownville firefighters managed traffic control at the busy intersection until National Grid arrived. New York State Police and Jefferson County Car 200 also assisted at the scene.
