Firefighters Balance Community Education and Emergency Response

Adams, N.Y. — October 10 — The Adams Fire Department joined Belleville Fire Department for the annual Fire Prevention Program at Belleville-Henderson Central School, helping teach students about fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Firefighters spoke with students about safe evacuation, smoke alarms, and calling 911, while also showcasing firefighting equipment and apparatus. Midway through the event, Adams crews were dispatched to respond to a fire alarm in the Village of Adams and left the school to handle the call.
