Medway, MA - An oven fire at 39 Main Street prompted a multi-agency response after a local alarm was activated in the building. Car 1 responded to the scene with mutual aid from Millis and Norfolk, as both Franklin ambulances were committed to other calls at the time.

Upon arrival, Car 1 was met by a tenant who reported smoke coming from the affected apartment. Moments later, the radio box and central station transmitted, and Car 1 requested the balance of the box, bringing in a ladder truck and the Chief from Bellingham Fire.

Crews encountered heavy smoke conditions on the third floor and located a stove fire inside the unit. The fire was quickly extinguished, preventing further damage.

The Franklin Fire Department extends its thanks to all mutual aid partners for their assistance.
