Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company Reports 31 Calls in September

The Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 31 calls for service during September, bringing their year-to-date total to 278 incidents.
The month’s responses included:15 EMS assists, 5 automatic fire alarms, 5 motor vehicle accidents, 2 vehicle fires,1 brush fire, 1 carbon monoxide alarm, 1 smoke/odor investigation and 1 structure fire.
In addition to emergency responses, members completed monthly apparatus and equipment checks and participated in a variety of training and community activities. These included attending Community Day, conducting a hose line advancement drill, participating in a new construction walkthrough with the Alpha Volunteer Fire Company (Station 82), assisting a local church with Tower 98-69, and performing an auto extrication drill.
