Firefighters Contain Bathroom Fan Fire in Attleboro Townhouse

Attleboro, MA - Firefighters swiftly contained a bathroom exhaust fan fire inside a townhouse on Milk Street Monday morning.

At approximately 10:59 a.m. on September 30, crews responded to 21 Milk Street following reports of a fire in a bathroom. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that a bathroom exhaust fan had ignited, causing significant smoke buildup within the unit.


Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and confined the fire to the area of origin. Overhaul operations were conducted to ensure there was no further spread.


No neighboring townhouse units were damaged, and residents were not displaced. The cause of the fire, which originated in the exhaust fan, remains under investigation by the Attleboro Fire Investigation Unit.


During the incident, the Norton Fire Department provided station coverage for Attleboro, while North Attleboro Fire handled a separate medical call in the city.
