SWFD Responds to Motor Vehicle Crash on Pierce Road

South Windsor, Conn. — October 3 — The South Windsor Fire Department (SWFD), alongside the Ambulance Service of Manchester (ASM) and the South Windsor Police Department, responded Friday afternoon to a motor vehicle crash on Pierce Road.
The incident prompted the closure of Pierce Road at both Ellington Road and Strong Road as emergency crews worked the scene.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and was evaluated and transported by ASM.
The roadway remained closed for a period while responders secured the area and cleared the scene.
