South Windsor, CT. — September 28 — Members of the South Windsor Fire Department (SWFD) joined firefighters and families from across the state at the 23rd Annual Connecticut Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

This year’s solemn ceremony honored five additional fallen heroes, whose names were added to the Memorial in recognition of their service and sacrifice. The event served as a reminder of the courage and dedication of firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty.

SWFD members paid special tribute to their own fallen member, Captain George Mullen, reaffirming their commitment to remember and honor all who made the ultimate sacrifice.
