Sept. 21, 2025 — Gardner Firefighters joined with several area departments to provide mutual aid in Winchendon, where crews battled a brush fire on Hale Street.

Mutual aid partnerships allow departments to quickly share manpower and resources when incidents escalate, ensuring communities receive the support they need. Thanks to the coordinated effort of multiple fire companies, the situation was brought under control without further spread.

The Gardner Fire Department thanked all participating agencies for their teamwork and emphasized the importance of regional collaboration in protecting both lives and property.
