Essex, Vt. — September 18 — The Essex Fire Department welcomed a delegation from the Senegal National Fire Brigade, visiting with the Vermont National Guard to exchange knowledge on firefighting and emergency medical services.
The delegation, led by Lt. Col. Martial Ndione, met with Essex Fire leadership to discuss shared challenges and practices. Years ago, Essex Fire and other regional departments donated fire equipment to Senegal through the Vermont Guard’s support efforts, strengthening ties that continue today.
