Just after 1500hrs on September 20, 2021 Mount Carmel Township fire department was alerted to a Tri-axel roll over near the borough/ township line.
Command quickly arrived and confirmed one garbage truck rolled over with the driver out of the vehicle.
Arriving units contained leaking fluids until Aurand’s Towing arrived and pulled the truck upright.
Once the garbage truck was back on its wheels Aurand’s used their one vehicle to clean up some debris and than the fire departments washed down the road.
Route 61 was closed for roughly 4 hours during the incident.
