Angelica, N.Y. — September 22 — Members of Angelica Fire and Rescue (ANGELFR) took part in a specialized training session at GVCS (Genesee Valley Central School).
The program focused on improving responders’ knowledge and skills in handling rural and farm-related emergencies. The event was organized with the help of Miranda Hemphill, supported by a lunch provided by the school’s cafeteria staff. Bainbridge Farms supplied tractors for practical demonstrations, and two instructors from NYCAMH (New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health) led the day’s instruction.
Department leaders said the training was an important opportunity to strengthen practical skills and teamwork in scenarios common to the region’s agricultural community.
