Cumberland, ME - On September 6, 2025, at approximately 1608 hours, the Cumberland Fire Department and Cumberland, Maine Police Department were dispatched to Main Street for a report of a single vehicle that had struck a telephone pole. Upon arrival, crews discovered a heavily damaged vehicle and a cracked utility pole. Central Maine Power responded to evaluate the pole and develop a plan for replacement. The vehicle and debris were cleared from the roadway, and Main Street was subsequently reopened to traffic. The incident remains under investigation by the police department.
