Lee, ME - Lee Fire responded yesterday morning to a reported chimney fire on Arab Road. Upon arrival, crews observed light smoke coming from the chimney after the homeowners reported they had extinguished their stove. The chimney was found to be blocked and was safely cleared without any fire spread or damage to the residence.

Officials remind residents to clean their chimneys as the colder season approaches.
