Wolfeboro, N.H. — September 8 — The Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department’s Group 2, with Engine 2, provided mutual-aid support at the third-alarm structure fire on Charles Street in Milton. While Group 2 operated on the scene, off-duty Wolfeboro members staffed the Central Station to maintain local coverage for other emergencies.
The fire, reported on September 8 at 5:42 p.m., heavily damaged the residence and was ultimately traced by investigators to a lithium-ion battery in a remote-control car. Firefighters from multiple departments—including Wolfeboro—worked for several hours to contain the blaze.
