Orland, ME - On 26 September at approximately 5:15 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a residence on Front Ridge Road for a reported carbon monoxide alarm activation. Using a 4-gas meter, crews found no presence of CO and determined the cause to be a faulty detector. Shortly afterward, a second call came in for a tree on power lines along Johnson Road.

While not dramatic incidents, these calls highlight the department’s commitment to responding wherever assistance is needed. With these responses, the department has now logged 131 calls for service so far this year. –501
