North Bennington, Vt. — September 15 — On Monday evening, the North Bennington Fire Department carried out an advanced drill at the National Hanger, combining pump operations, hose lays, drafting, and blitz-fire tactics into a live-burn exercise.

The session was directed by Chiefs 5-1, 5-2, and 5-3, with Officers 5-7, 5-15, and 5-20 coordinating hands-on operations. Firefighters Art Barber and Lonnie West were among the members who participated. Department leaders said the integrated training sharpened critical skills needed for safe and efficient fireground performance.
