Spotswood Fire Handles Vehicle Crash With Downed Pole

Spotswood, N.J. — September 28 —The Spotswood Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) was called to a single-vehicle collision at approximately 07:32 a.m. on Manalapan Road close to Bruning Lane after a utility pole fell onto the car and caught fire. All of the passengers had already safely gotten out of the car when Deputy 71 and Rescue Engine 71-1 arrived on the scene. According to the department, crews managed operations and cleared the site for about two hours.
