No Injuries Reported in Ramsey Morning Dryer Fire

Ramsey, N.J. — September 21, 2025 — The Ramsey Fire Department responded to a morning call on Arch Street for a reported odor of gas.
Arriving crews were met with a report of smoke in the basement. A quick investigation determined the source to be a dryer fire. Firefighters extinguished the minor fire, secured the appliance, and ventilated the home.
No injuries were reported, and units cleared the scene within one hour.
While operations were underway, Junior Firefighter Connor Behrmann handed out fire helmets to children observing the response, offering a positive interaction during the incident.
