Firefighters and EMS team up for 2-car accident response

Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. — September 22 —The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department was called to the scene of a two-car collision at the intersection of Division Avenue and Boulevard on Monday. According to early reports, people were stuck inside the cars. Arriving first, Chief 60 verified the entrapment, sent a 10-30, and asked the Wood-Ridge Fire Department for mutual aid assistance. Chiefs 61 and 62, Squad 1, and Engine 2 were among the other responding units.

Firefighters used extrication tools to safely remove both occupants after working swiftly to stabilize the vehicles. For medical assessment and transportation, the patients were turned over to the local emergency medical services.
