Demarest, N.J. — September 23 — On Tuesday, the Demarest Fire Department conducted a hands-on training session focused on vehicle stabilization using its newly acquired Paratech struts, recently added to the Squad Company’s equipment.

Firefighters practiced several stabilization scenarios, including the tie-back technique, which provides rescuers full access to victims during complex vehicle rescues.

The department expressed its appreciation to the Haworth Department of Public Works (DPW) for allowing use of their lot as a safe and practical site for the drill.
